PAWsitive Spirit Program

Campus wellness support through connection, comfort and therapy dog interaction

Stress Decompression

Building Connection

Students often experience stress, anxiety, overstimulation, and social pressure throughout the school day. The PAWsitive Spirit Program provides calm, supportive interactions with Bailey the therapy dog during lunch, recess, and campus wellness visits.

These brief moments of connection can help students regulate emotions, reset, and feel more grounded throughout the day.

Meet Bailey

Positive Spirit focuses on creating low-barrier opportunities for students to engage, connect, and feel seen in a safe and supportive environment.

Many students naturally open up through interaction with animals, helping encourage social connection, emotional safety, confidence, and positive peer engagement.

Non-Clinical Wellness Support

Bailey is a certified therapy dog with a calm, intuitive temperament and a natural ability to connect with children and community members. Through gentle interaction, emotional attunement, and positive engagement, Bailey helps create moments of comfort, calm, and connection for students of all backgrounds.

The PAWsitive Spirit Program is not therapy or clinical treatment. It is a community-based wellness and campus climate support program designed to complement existing school supports.

Visits are designed to be:

  • low-pressure
  • voluntary
  • relationship-centered
  • minimally disruptive to instruction
  • accessible to all students

Flexible School Partnerships

Programs can be customized to meet the needs of individual schools and communities, including:

  • Lunch & recess wellness visits
  • Stress decompression support
  • School event appearances
  • Reading and literacy support
  • Student engagement activities
  • Community wellness events

Pilot partnership opportunities are available for local rural schools.
